Hi folks,
in this post I'm going to talk about vegetarianism. I started being a
vegetarian two years 9 months ago. The truth is that I started to be vegetarian
because my body began to reject the little meat I consumed, so I decided to
listen my body and quit. I never needed it again. Some time later I learned
about the big impact that the livestock industries have on global warming, the speciesism that exists, and that many
people pay to literally make animals suffer in order to have a piece of their
meat on your plate.
This
decision caused a lot of commotion in my surroundings, I don't have any
vegetarian/vegan friends, besides that I live in the countryside and the
mentality that exists here is that "the animal lives for us humans to
consume" a super selfish opinion. I would love my boyfriend to be a
vegetarian, I try to inform and motivate him but I just have to wait because
it's a decision that must come from his own initiative.
i would
like people to investigate how well we would do our bodies if we leave the
meat, and how grateful the environment would be. Also, many people who don't
agree with my decision are because they believe the prejudices that exist, like
we need meat to have muscle, or that it's part of the food chain hahaha. I've
never had any difficulty building muscle or health in all this time, I get
tested once a year and I'm the healthiest in my family! We don't need
the meat. Go vegan.
