Vegetarianism

Hi folks, in this post I'm going to talk about vegetarianism. I started being a vegetarian two years 9 months ago. The truth is that I started to be vegetarian because my body began to reject the little meat I consumed, so I decided to listen my body and quit. I never needed it again. Some time later I learned about the big impact that the livestock industries have on global warming,  the speciesism that exists, and that many people pay to literally make animals suffer in order to have a piece of their meat on your plate.

This decision caused a lot of commotion in my surroundings, I don't have any vegetarian/vegan friends, besides that I live in the countryside and the mentality that exists here is that "the animal lives for us humans to consume" a super selfish opinion. I would love my boyfriend to be a vegetarian, I try to inform and motivate him but I just have to wait because it's a decision that must come from his own initiative.

i would like people to investigate how well we would do our bodies if we leave the meat, and how grateful the environment would be. Also, many people who don't agree with my decision are because they believe the prejudices that exist, like we need meat to have muscle, or that it's part of the food chain hahaha. I've never had any difficulty building muscle or health in all this time, I get tested once a year and I'm the healthiest in my family! We don't need the meat. Go vegan.

The job i would like to have

Hiii folks, in this new post I'm going to talk about the work I would like to have in the future. To begin, I would like to have a job that keeps me mentally busy, hopefully under pressure because that way I work better, although I like to have contact with people and help them, I am also interested in the area of research, ah! And I would also like to work where I can be a contribution in some case, like CSI miami or the mentalist haahhaha.

The truth, in my second year of my career I don't have a very well defined area that I want to dedicate myself, I like many things, but for now I only know that it must be under pressure, I am excellent at it. What I also have clear is that the area of marketing, having my own pharmacy and that is not something that calls my attention.

I love to travel, but not that my work is to travel, but rather, the work, let me travel and rest from it. Regarding the salary, I would like that I never lack food or a warm home, I am not of many luxuries, I only want economic stability and have a really warm home (I always have cold) and hopefully with many green areas.

I hope in the future can choose my area, and be very happy working, see you next week xoxo.

my study tour

Hi folks today i will going to talk about my study tour in 2014. I liked this trip very much because I got to know a little bit more about my beautiful region and I went with my friends.

My study tour lasted 4 days and started in a bus from Coyhaique to Rio Puerto Tranquilo, a trip of 8 hours, there we stayed in a lodge called "Terra luna" which had a beautiful view of a lake, during the afternoon we could canopy, kayak or simply enjoy nature.

Day 2, we moved a few more kilometers, to do a 6 hour of trekking to "Glaciar exploradores", I remember it was very exhausting, but once we got to the top until the cold didn't feel it, it was a very good experience with a wonderful landscape. we were going with good climbing equipment and obviously, a lot of food. When we returned to the lodge, very tired, we decided to end the day entering some hot tub that were in the same place

Day 3, we started again a trip of a few kilometers to get the "Capillas de Marmol", we traveled in groups and in boats, the water so blue and see those rocks naturally sculpted by the wind was really impressive! When we got back to the lodge we had a costume party and danced all night

Day 4, return day, and we were a little sad to leave  a beautiful landscape, besides we had a great time.

what career i study?

Hi again folks! In this new post I will go to talk about my career.  When I got out of high school I couldn't choose if I liked chemistry or biology. I did two years of "Bachillerato en ciencias de la salud" at San Sebastian University, then I did a year in medicine.

For the next year I did the P.S.U again and found a career that fused the two things I like, chemistry and biology. This career is Chemistry and pharmacy, I like this career because it has the option of having contact with patients (which is what I like about the health area) and also a scientific knowledge.

One of the positive aspects is his wide work field. From my dad's experience, I know how distressing is to have odd jobs. So, having plenty of job opportunities was very essential when i chose.

I am motivated by the idea of knowing how the medications work in the body, i can help those who need it with information on how to take it and when. I also like the area of research, I have had the opportunity to work in a laboratory with cancer cells, and it is very interesting!!

my best holydays!

Hi folks, in this second post I'm going to talk about my best holydays ever. These were this year, February 2020 pre-covid (I was saved). After a lot of planning and saving, I went to Peru with my boyfriend and his family, we went for 17 days and traveled through many parts. We started the trip with a 3 day stay in Lima, and the first thing that amazed me when we landed was the humidity!, it was so much that I felt I couldn't breathe! , we traveled through that beautiful city a lot

Our next destination was Cuzco where the altitude of 3400 m.s.n.m was responsible for our continuous fatigue, we reached places of 4000 m.s.n.m. Then, as is obvious, we went to Machu Pichu and decided to climb it walking (there was the option of going up by bus), we started at 4:30 am and arrived at approximately 7:30am. It was a sensational experience and it is so much beautiful to see it in person than in pictures!

To finish this trip and rest, we stop at Cancas, a beach in the north of Peru very close to Ecuador that has a beautiful view, and the sea is the warmest temperature I have ever touched! Without a doubt, going to the sea was my favorite part of the trip, besides drinking a lot of mango juice.

This was my best vacation because I had never been out of the country, and my family does not usually go on vacation.

PS: the day we were returning to Chile, I fell down the stairs and sprained my foot haha, luckily it was the last day! Nothing was going to destroyed what I had lived.

A country I would like to visit?

Hi folks, in this post i'm going to write about New Zealand! I would like to visit this country because it has beautifull green landscapes very similar to Coyhaique, I really enjoy seeing and being in nature. also, it has many animals and a lot of sea, and i love it!

Some facts I know about New Zealand are that: Auckland is the second city with the best quality of life, more than 30% of the country is a natural reserve, in 1983 the first woman voted.

When I go I would like to visit many of their nature reserves, bungee jump and go to the beaches.

I would also like to live and work there after visiting many places.

That's all for this post friends, see you next Monday! xoxo

My last post of the semester!!!!

Hi folks! This year ,as for many, has been different, but also for me has been added the fact that for the first time in 5 years I am studying in higher education, and in my home, in Coyhaique. This is because when I graduated from high school there weren’t universities in Coyhaique so leaving the city to study was something everyone did. Fortunately the pandemic has not affected me negatively cause I am happy with my family, I do not always have the time to be with them for more than two months.

One of the good things that has happened to me this year is being able to be here on important dates like as Mother's Day, my sister's birthday and my dog's birthday, since in previous years I had never been able to be here on these dates. Besides, I was there for the first snowfall of the year, I love the snow and for a long time i dind't see it fall

Luckily here in Coyhaique there are not so many cases of covid (just 80), that is why I have been able to visit my friend who studies in another city and we can't see each other often.I've also been able to spend time with my boyfriend, because he lives and studies here, in coyhaique

The performance in the university have been difficult for me because it is not usual that i come to Coyhaique for  study but my family has put a lot of their part to make everything go well.

Besides, one of the things that have not worked well has been the home life, because we lived with my mother's husband's family, but prioritizing good mental health, with my family we decided to move house. Luckily it was a change for better.

my sporttt

Hi folk!!!, on this occasion I'm going to talk about my life as a sportswoman, I started swimming when I was older, at 15, and from 16 I started competing and going out. Since then I began to train regularly and was selected in the region of Aysen to go out and compete internationally in the "games of Araucania" (that takes place one year in Chile and another in Argentina).

At the end of that year at 16 I dislocated my shoulder playing ping pong at school.
Then when I resumed training, I began to do very well, I lowered my times in the style that stood out. Until I was 17, I l dislocated my shoulder again swimming butterfly style. This time it was serious and I was out of swimming for 6 months, recovering and undergoing kinesthetic treatment. This was demotivating, as I was reaching my best moment. After those 6 months I came back with a lot of motivation and started to do well again in the competitions.
However, I stopped swimming when I got out of school, because the university I went to didn't have a pool, so I didn't train for 3 years. In the year 2019 I entered the UCH and was able to resume the swimming that I like so much, being in the water makes me feel good and energetic. In the UCH I competed again in the "mechones" games and in all the TIF and I obtained good results.  Now, as a result of the social crisis and the coronavirus, I have been on a break for about 7 months, but I hope to swim again soon.

my favorite subject in this semester!!!

Hi folks, in this post I wrote about my favorite subject, I have 7 so I have a choice. Although all of them demand me time, one of the subject that makes my life easier (sin ser chupa media jajajja) is English, apart from the fact that I like very much to learn the language I like the dynamic that exists and that the teacher has the idea that learning English must be to communicate, more than doing it perfectly.

In this level (English 3) we reinforce what we have learned in English 1 and 2, orally and in writing, I have English twice a week and what we do is: on Thursday we connect via zoom to communicate orally with the teacher telling something about us, or have a casual conversation, always in English. On Fridays we have to upload a post on a specific topic with some requirements such as word limit, and items to write, this to reinforce our written English.

All of this, helps me to finish my career with a good knowledge of the language, because one of the areas that have my attention is research, which has as a requirement the good use of it.

A great scientist!

I had a little trouble choosing a topic for this post. But it's impossible to forget one of the first scientists I heard at school, and her great impact on the scientific world, and she's a woman.
Marie Curie was born in Warsaw (Poland) on November 7, 1867. Her mother died when she was 10 years old and she had a difficult childhood.

She was unable to enter university just because she was a woman, which made her desire to do so even stronger. At the age of 24 she moved to France to study and three years later she graduated in Physics from the University of Paris and was number one in her class.
In 1898 she and her husband Pierre announced the discovery of new elements: radium and polonium, both more radioactive than uranium.

In 1903 both received the Nobel Prize in Physics, being the first woman to win one, and in 1911 she won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. She died in 1934 because of the radiation to which she was exposed.

I like her because although she and her husband made the same discovery, at the time she didn’t have the same recognition as him, until he died. And it is incredible to think that what happened more than 100 years ago is still happening. Women's work has always been looking at less, but definitely that is being eradicated and I love being part of this process.
